History

The Chorus was founded in 1946 as the “Choral Association of the State Volksoper”. In 1981 our name was changed to “The Convert Association of the Vienna Volksoper Chorus”.

Numerous tours and guest appearances have brought us through Europe and Asia, as well as to the most important summer festivals, such as the Bregenz and Mörbisch lake festivals as well as the Langenlois Festival. We have displayed our social engagement by participating in numerous benefit events, a special concern for us nowadays.
